Did you know there's a great set of challenging trails right here in Warner? The little-known Mink Hills are a great hike. They are part of the Chandler Reservation Trail system.
The trails range from easy to advanced and have 4 different trailheads. My favorite is the one at the end of Mink Hill Lane. where the old Warner Ski slope is.
There's a small cul-de-sac with ample parking. From there you can do a 20-30 minute look around Woods Walk, as well as head right into the other hills.
The trails are marked really well with paint splotches clearly pointing the way as well as directional signs at each major intersection. The trail goes upwards of 1600 feet at the top of the highest hill.
Along the top is the old fallen tower, and tucked in the woods behind it is a perfect little mossy area for a bite to eat.
While you're in town be sure to stock up at the farm with buffalo snack sticks, summer sausage, cheese, and other goodies!
